Any synthetic hair, in any form will ALWAYS need some styling before you strut your stuff and start performing epic hair flips. Be it hair extensions, clip in ponytails, half wigs or full wigs – it is absolutely essential that you take some simple steps to make the hair look as natural and realistic as possible.

These relatively quick and easy tips can be performed with the wig already in place or on a wig stand / head.

Step 1: When your wig arrives, it is super important to remove from the packaging and shake it out. Your wig has been packed flat and in transit for hours or sometimes days. Have you seen those exposé documentaries? Your package has more than likely been thrown, tossed, squeezed, folded, squashed and more by stressed and hungover delivery drivers. 🙁

Step 2: Blow it out! Choose a cool setting on your hair dryer and blitz your wig. This separates all of the fibres which in turn adds texture and reduces shine.
