Poison Ivy Hair – Wig It Out!

Kim Kardashian Poison Ivy Wig

If you have not been blessed with long, bright red, curly, Poison Ivy hair – make like Kim Kardashian and opt for a wig. Our Poison Ivy Wig is based on the reality star’s famous Halloween look, sporting full and thick curls plus lifted, voluminous crown, secured with a ponytail to the rear. The glamorous costume wig boasts premium Japanese Kanekalon fibre. This synthetic material feels and flows like human hair. It can be brushed, styled, sprayed and washed with ease.

How To: 1 Clip In Ponytail, 7 Kendall Jenner Hairstyles

Kendall Jenner Hair

Kendall Jenner has been our girl crush for a while now. As much as we love every member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kendall’s natural, understated beauty and attitude to match, has truly won us over. The self-confessed tomboy rarely commits any kind of fashion faux-pas, and we are in lust with her gorgeous, shiny hair.

The model’s dark brown hair has been photographed in multiple styles over the years and we have selected 7 of her most beautiful looks that can be achieved with one clip in ponytail. No matter the length, condition or texture of your own hair, the Smooth Supermodel Clip In Ponytail can be styled with ease to replicate every one of Kendall’s looks.

How To Attach The Clip In Ponytail

The ponytail extension is super easy to attach.

  1. The hairpiece features a sturdy hair extension pressure clip that affixes in front of the elastic bobble of your own ponytail.
  2. Wrap the separated section of hair attached to the hairpiece around the base of the ponytail several times. This tightens and conceals the bobble.
  3. Use a kirby grip to tidy away the ends of the hair.

We don’t use old fashioned claw clips, flimsy combs, drawstrings or velcro in our clip in ponytail designs. These methods of attaching hairpieces to the head can damage your natural hair and create unflattering, bulky shapes.

7 Kendall Jenner Hairstyles

  1. The Casual Ponytail

Kendall Jenner Casual Ponytail An uber flattering, laid back hairstyle that can be achieved within a couple of minutes. Simply pull your natural hair back with your fingers and fashion into a ponytail. After attaching your clip in ponytail (adding volume and length), pull a few strands out around the face. For extra lift around the crown and to accentuate the casual effect, use a tail comb to elevate the hair.

2. The Messy Up Do Bun

Kendall Jenner Messy-Bun-Hairstyle

Ideal for a glamorous gathering or 9-5 chic, the messy bun hairstyle is a versatile up do for both day and night. After attaching your clip in ponytail, use a backcomb brush to tease the hair lengths. Now that the hair has a full, textured look, section the ponytail into two parts, crossing them over and around the base of the ponytail. You now have a tousled top knot! Tidy the ends away with a bobby pin or two. Pull a few strands loose from the knot and around the hairline to replicate Kendall’s look.

3. The Sleek High Ponytail

Kendall Jenner Sleek High Ponytail

Popular with supermodels, the High Sleek Ponytail is the quickest and most pain-free method of lifting the face. The beautifully flattering hairstyle is easy to achieve with a little prep. Before attaching the clip in ponytail, spritz strong hold hairspray through each layer of hair at the roots. Ensure you reach every layer of hair and then encourage the hair towards the base of the head with your fingers. Brush through the top layer until it is nice and smooth. Once your clip in ponytail is attached, use a flat iron to straighten the ponytail in sections. This extra step ensures that the synthetic hair blends seamlessly with your natural hair.

4. The Bubble Ponytail

Kendall-Jenner-Bubble-Ponytail

The Bubble Ponytail has made a comeback, thanks in part to Kendall Jenner and this retro hair trend is refreshingly easy to style. The secret to achieving the perfect bubble is a long, thick ponytail. Once your clip in extension is in place, tie 3 more bobbles down the hair lengths. Use your fingers to gently pull each bubble out, increasing the width. Use hairspray to keep the style in place if you plan to be raving all night.

5. The High Messy Ponytail

Kendall Jenner High-Messy-Ponytail

The definitive ‘California-cool’ look combining beach waves with a touch of class. This hairstyle, that suits literally every face shape requires length and volume. The essential clip in ponytail should be styled before it is attached for this beauty. Use your backcomb brush to tease the synthetic hair. Then, separate into several sections, twisting each one from the top to the tips. Run your hair straighteners down each twisted section a few times. Shake out the hair and voila – tousled, textured, natural looking beach waves. Once attached, tease the clip in ponytail hair lengths to intensify the effect. For the smoothest of hairlines, a la Kendall, spray hairspray onto a toothbrush (not one that you are planning to use on your teeth) and comb down those fly-away ends.

6. The Sleek Top Knot

Kendall Jenner Sleek-Top-Knot

Have you been lusting after all those glorious top knots that never seem to go out of fashion, but your hair just isn’t quite long or thick enough to achieve that gorgeous, fat knot? Problem solved with the clip in ponytail. The instant glamour booster, adds the volume and length that you’ve always wanted. Ensure your natural hair is nice and straight for this style and arrange your own hair into a high ponytail with your head flipped over. Once your synthetic ponytail is attached, fashion the extension into a top knot. Use the toothbrush trick to smooth away baby hairs around the face for that super sleek look.

7. The Low Sleek Ponytail

Kendall Jenner Clip In Ponytail

The Smooth Supermodel Clip In Ponytail is ideal for this sharp and sleek hairstyle. Pre-styled with poker straight hair lengths, simply attach the hairpiece to the nape of your neck after prepping your own hair with a shine serum.

Your Kendall Jenner masterclass is complete and you’ll be a ponytail pro in no time. Have fun with your clip in hairpiece – many more looks await….

How To Wash A Synthetic Wig

Step By Step Guide To Washing Your Synthetic Wig

It is essential to care for your synthetic wig to preserve it’s longevity and with gentle brushing and styling and careful storage, you really can get multiple wears from your favourite hair piece with it looking like new. Washing and conditioning your wig is an ideal way to remove any unnatural shine, particularly in regards light or bright coloured designs and will be required after 3-8 outings of your new hair.

Our step by step guide requires no skill or specialist equipment just patience and a gentle hand!

It may be tempting to wash your wig with the same products as your natural hair. Your favourite shampoo and conditioner are ideal but remember that your wig is made from synthetic materials, closely resembling a soft fabric. You will therefore need a small amount of fabric conditioner and treat the hair much more carefully than you would your own to achieve the best and least damaging results.

Only wash your wig when you feel it is absolutely needed and give yourself plenty of time. Ideally you will want to leave it to dry overnight. Washing your wig too frequently will adversely affect the fibres and shorten it’s life span.

How To Wash A Synthetic Wig

Products used in our step by step guide;

Step By Step Guide To Washing A Wig

  1. MIX IT UP: First up, you need to prepare your magical concoction. Using 10 pence piece sizes add 3 X Shampoo (shampoo designed specifically for dry hair is great for wigs as it will moisture and nourish the hair) 3 X Conditioner and 2 X Fabric Conditioner into your empty spray bottle. Top it right up with water and give it a swirl ensuring a nice diluted potion. If needed detangle your wig first using a wide tooth comb or brush. This paddle brush from Toni & Guy is ideal.
  2. GET SPRITZING: Depending on the length of your wig, you can either hold it up or place it on a wig stand / door knob / can of hair spray / boyfriend’s head and simply coat all the hair as evenly as possible with your spritzing bottle.
  3. LET IT FLOW: No need for any magic words or wizard spells, allow the mixture to penetrate the hair fibres for a few minutes and prepare for the next step by filling a clean basin with lukewarm water. Hotter water is fine to use on heat resistant wigs but will relax the wig style slightly if used on kanekalon and other fibres that are not fully heat resistant.

Step 1: When your wig arrives, it is super important to remove from the packaging and shake it out. Your wig has been packed flat and in transit for hours or sometimes days. Have you seen those exposé documentaries? Your package has more than likely been thrown, tossed, squeezed, folded, squashed and more by stressed and hungover delivery drivers. 🙁

Step 2: Blow it out! Choose a cool setting on your hair dryer and blitz your wig. This separates all of the fibres which in turn adds texture and reduces shine.
